About us
The Prestige of two of Georgetown University’s top Schools,
Conveniently Located in Dubai
Georgetown’s Master's in International Business and Policy (IBP) in Dubai was developed by leading faculty from the McDonough School of Business and School of Foreign Service to teach how business influences policy, how policy influences business, and how you can engage the global economy in a more strategic manner in either the public or private sector.
The Dubai-based program is adapted from the university’s signature Master's in International Business and Policy program that has been operating for nearly a decade. It is characterized by small class sizes and a cohort format designed to strengthen your network, a fully integrated curriculum where each course explores the nuances of business and international relations, and a focus on social impact.
When you graduate, you’ll receive diplomas from both the McDonough School of Business (ranked #2 for international business, U.S. News & World Report) and the School of Foreign Service (ranked #1 in the world, Foreign Policy magazine), and you will join the network of more than 220,000 alumni from around the world who have graduated from all of Georgetown University’s prestigious schools.

To connect, educate, and inspire generations of visionary leaders in the Middle East.
Master's in International Business and Policy Program
Designed for working professionals, the unique modular design allows you to experience an immersive education without pausing your career and provides opportunities to apply what you are learning to your organization as you go. The 10-month program includes seven in-person modules, lasting six days each, plus one online course. Five modules will be located in Dubai at the DIFC Academy, and two will be abroad – in Jakarta, Indonesia, and on Georgetown’s campus in Washington, D.C. Each module will feature faculty from Georgetown University’s programs in the United States and Qatar.
IBP Dubai is co-taught by professors from both schools, providing a balanced perspective on how each area affects the other. The curriculum includes an understanding of doing business at a global level and addresses the present and future challenges of engaging in business on a global scale. Many of the courses were developed or adapted to specifically address the business landscape of the MENASA region. The program culminates with a Social Action Project, where you will design and implement a project that benefits or inspires social change in your community or anywhere in the world.
The IBP Dubai Admissions Committee uses a holistic approach when making admissions decisions and will consider such elements as the application, your CV or resume, an essay, a letter of recommendation, and your previous academic records.
